Take a virtual tour of historic John Dickinson Plantation here.
After you finish taking your tour, reflect upon your visit. What did you learn? What did you observe? What was your favorite aspect of John Dickinson Plantation?
I just completed the fitness fun activity "The Nutrition Facts Label - Your Healthy Eating Tool" and learned a lot about nutrition. Some things were how to read a nutrition label on a food item, what each nutrient does for you, and what the ingredients are that were used to make the food, so we all have a great understanding on our food choices which is good for your body.
I just finishsed reading about john dickinson he was born in november 1732 in talbot country in maryaland his father moved his family to plantationon Jones Neck. To accept a judgeship and to allow his wife to be closer to her native Philadelphia. John was schooled by his parents and a series of tutors. When he lived there it was called popaler hall. When he was 18 he begain to read the laws of philadelphia then of englend in the temple. Wen he got back he began law practice in philly. He attended the Stamp Act Congress where his suggested resolutions were adopted with few changes. His Letters of a Farmer in Pennsylvania written in 1767 brought him fame. As a result, Dickinson was called on for advice and inspiration in the years before the First Continental Congress.
I visted the Kent county library it was cool when you walk in and you go left all the way back there is a cool place where you can read and possibly hold metting. To keep you company there is a cool sceloton of a dinesour its fake but it is still cool they have computers and books and magizenes and movies. It is awsome so go check it out!
I just read about John Dickenson's life. I think he was a pretty lucky guy for having such a non-complicated childhood. I don't think people give him enough credit for some of the things he did. Everyone these days just see the plantation as a cool place to visit and not the home of an important man. I didn't really know anything about him until I read the info on the history site the link takes you to.
